Tasmania is Warming and Drying: Free Community Workshops to Help the Whole Community to Plan, Adapt and Thrive.
Tasmanians are already experiencing a clear trend of warmer temperatures, drier conditions and less predictable seasons. To support communities to respond, the Northern Midlands will host two free, interactive workshops in Campbell Town and Longford this May.
Delivered by the Northern Midlands Business Association on behalf of Northern Midlands Council, the workshops are part of the Connected Futures: Building Resilience Through Local Stories initiative, jointly funded by the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Tasmanian Government.
The sessions will bring together local residents, community groups and expert contributors to share insights, explore climate impacts, and co-design practical actions to help communities plan, adapt and thrive in a warming and drying climate.
Workshop details:
• Campbell Town – Saturday 16 May 2026, 10:30am–1:30pm, Campbell Town Guide Hall, 20 King Street, Campbell Town
• Longford – Saturday 23 May 2026, 10:30am–1:30pm, Longford Memorial Hall, Village Green, Longford
