Swimming Pools

There are three public swimming pools situated in the Northern Midlands municipality. Cressy and Ross are operated by special management committees set up by Council and Campbell Town is managed by Council.

Important information for Community Members,

We do our best to keep the pools open for our communities to enjoy, however and regrettably, there may be days we simply cannot open due to resource shortages or weather conditions.

We will keep you informed as any changes come to light, please see each pool's section below for any changes to the pool opening days of operation in your town.

Thank you for your understanding.

.

Key Principles

  • Pay attention to signs around the Pool – these form part of the Pool’s rules.

  • 11 to 14 year olds - when accompanied by an adult it is a requirement for the adult to maintain visual contact and check on them on a regular basis.

Council reserves the right to require in-water supervision for all patrons, regardless of age, depending on their ability to safely swim independently.

An unsupervised child of poor swimming ability regardless of age will not be allowed to swim and will be removed from the water by a Lifeguard, committee member, or registered volunteer.

Unsupervised children under the age of 5, regardless of swimming ability, will be removed from the water by a Lifeguard, committee member, or registered volunteer, and will be placed in a safe area (under supervision by a committee member or registered volunteer) until collected by a parent/guardian.
