Reserves and Recreation Grounds

Please note power is available for use at the Victoria Square, Longford and Valentine Park, Campbell Town. For further information or to arrange access please contact Council on (03) 6397 7303, charges may apply.
 

Consumption and or selling of alcohol in a public street or any public place, excluding premises licensed under the Liquor Licensing Act, is prohibited Under the Police Offences Act 1935.

To obtain necessary permit for a Liquor licence please see the Department of Treasury and Finance’s website for application information and forms.

Reserve and Facility Hire Forms

The reserve hire form below is for your reference only, You MUST contact the relevant committee (see contacts above) to enquire about times and dates BEFORE you complete the hire agreement form. The form is to be returned to the relevant Committee, the contact person for the facility will advise where to return the form to. The form is not to be sent to Council directly unless otherwise advised to, failure to return the form to the correct Committee may result in the booking being unavailable. The generic hire form below covers all facilities and grounds.

Longford Velodrome

The refurbished Longford Velodrome was officially opened in March 2015. The state of the art cycling track located at 2 Archer Street, is available for use by the public, unless a prior booking of the track has been made. Bookings can be made by contacting the Northern Midlands Council on 63977303. The velodrome is also home to the Longford Skate Park. The redevelopment of the facility was supported by both the Federal and State Governments.



Mill Dam (Reserve/Walkway)

CURRENT STATUS: OPEN

The Mill Dam recreation area is usually open at 8.00am and closed at 6.00pm daily (November to April). It is accessible via a walkway near the Boat Ramp at the end of Union Street. Visitors will find composting toilets and some picnic tables are also available however, there is NO overnight camping allowed.

The Mill Dam recreation area is subject to flooding, especially during the winter months when the area is closed (typically from April to November however, this is subject to weather and ground conditions.
