Planning Applications

Written representations in accordance with section 57(5) of the Land Use and Planning Approvals Act 1993 may be made during this time to the General Manager; mailed to PO Box 156, Longford 7301, delivered to Council offices or a pdf letter emailed to Planning@nmc.tas.gov.au.
In accordance with sections 40N(1)(b) and 40Q of the Land Use Planning & Approvals Act 1993, the Tasmanian Planning Commission has modified and granted final approval for amendment 10/2023 to the Northern Midlands Local Provisions Schedule.
Amendment: 10/2023 (Effective 16 April 2024)
Location: 16A Logan Road (previously known as 35 or 36 Collins Street) Evandale
Purpose: To amend Table NOR-Site-Specific-Qualifications by inserting: NOR-8.3; 16A Logan Rd Evandale; 141412/1; An additional qualification for the Discretionary Use Class of General Retail and Hire for this site is “If for a market directly associated with the Evandale Market at 2-14 Logan Rd Evandale”
The approval will be available to view at the Council Offices for 14 days from the effective date.
Please note both PLN24-0039 and PLN24-0051 have been withdrawn from advertising.
Notice of exhibition in relation to Draft Amendment to the Northern Midlands Local Provisions Schedule
In accordance with s 40G of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993, the planning authority gives notice of the following draft amendment to the Northern Midlands Local Provisions Schedule.
Draft Amendment 13/2024 (Ref No: PLN-24-0016)
To Apply The Flood-Prone Area Overlay To The Planning Scheme Maps At Perth, Campbell Town And Ross
Location: Various locations throughout municipality at Perth, Campbell Town and Ross
The exhibition period in relation to the draft amendment is from 08 April 2024 to 08 May 2024. During the exhibition period the draft amendment is available for viewing by the public at the Council offices, 13 Smith Street, Longford, Tasmania, 7301, Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 4.30pm, and for viewing and downloading on the Council’s website www.northernmidlands.tas.gov.au and also on the Tasmanian Planning Commission’s website www.planning.tas.gov.au/assessments-and-hearings/current-assessments-and-hearings
All persons and bodies are invited to, within the exhibition period, make to the planning authority a representation in relation to the draft amendment by submitting a representation addressed to the General Manager, Northern Midlands Council and:
