Be Prepared for Bushfire Season Tasmania Fire Service Campaign 2025-2026
Posted on November 05, 2025
As fire season approaches, we remind everyone to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to minimize the risk of wildfires. Dry conditions, high winds, and elevated temperatures increase the potential for fires to spread quickly.
Important Safety Tips
• Clear dry vegetation and debris around your home or property.
• Avoid outdoor burning, and always follow local regulations on fire bans.
• Be cautious with equipment that can generate sparks, such as lawnmowers and chainsaws.
• Safely dispose of cigarettes, matches, and other flammable materials.
• Have an evacuation plan in place and stay informed of fire conditions through local authorities.
