Have Your Say on How Communities Are Engaged About Flight Path Changes

Northern Midlands residents are invited to provide feedback on proposed updates to Airservices Australia's Community Engagement Standard for Flight Path and Airspace Change Proposals.

The Standard outlines how Airservices Australia engages with communities, local governments and stakeholders when considering flight path and airspace change proposals. It aims to ensure engagement is consistent, transparent and tailored to the scale and potential impact of each proposal.

As part of its regular two-yearly review process, Airservices Australia is seeking feedback on proposed updates to ensure the Standard remains fit for purpose, reflects current best practice and supports meaningful community participation.

The review may be of particular interest to Northern Midlands residents given the municipality's proximity to Launceston Airport and the potential for future flight path and airspace matters to affect local communities.

Residents can review the proposed changes, access supporting information and provide feedback through the Airservices Australia engagement website.

Feedback closes on Monday 23 November 2026.
