Have Your Say: Help Shape Tasmania’s First Disability Inclusion Plan
Posted on December 10, 2025
Consultation is now open for Tasmania’s very first Disability Inclusion Plan—a key part of the new Disability Rights, Inclusion and Safeguarding Act 2024.
This is an important opportunity for people with disability, carers, families, the disability sector, and the wider Tasmanian community to share their voices and ideas. The government wants to know: What does true inclusion look like to you? What changes would help make your community more inclusive and accessible?
A discussion paper, “Towards a Tasmanian Disability Inclusion Plan,” is available to provide background information and spark ideas. You can have your say by:
- Completing a survey
- Sending in a written or creative submission
- Joining face-to-face or online consultation events (happening now through February 2026)
By taking part, you’ll help shape a strong plan for a more inclusive future for all Tasmanians with disability.
