Hobart Road Shared Pathway
Northern Midlands Council has engaged Walters Contracting to construct the first section of the Hobart Road Shared Pathway project.
The first section of the shared pathway is from Charbooday Drive to the Kerry Lodge Bridge in Youngtown.
This project is jointly funded by Northern Midlands Council and the Tasmanian Government, through the Better Active Transport in Tasmania grant program.
Works to construct this new shared pathway will start on Monday, 12 January 2026 and are expected to take six months to complete.
Once works start, our contractor will be working between Monday and Friday, from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm.
Traffic management, including a lane closure and a reduced speed limit, will be in place during working hours. Please allow extra travel time during these works.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we complete these important works.
