Early Childhood Teacher / Educational Leader
Northern Midlands Council is seeking applications from a Degree qualified and experienced person to join the Childhood Early Learning team as an Early Childhood Teacher/Educational Leader, based in Perth. The position will be offered on a full time basis, although part-time requests will be considered.
The successful applicant must hold an approved ECT qualifications under the National Quality Framework.

About the role
As part of our transition to our new, larger purpose built Perth Early Learning Centre, we require a second Early Childhood Teacher/Educational Leader to join our dedicated team.
Reporting to the Childcare Director, the successful applicant will be a positive and supportive mentor and coach to our passionate and professional team of Early Childhood Educators. As part of this role you will work collaboratively with the team, children and families, to lead the development and implementation of educational programs, as well as enhance pedagogical practices.
You will also need to promote and support the understanding of the planning cycle, the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place and the National Quality Framework throughout the Service, whilst developing enriched quality learning programs and environments, building skills, knowledge and professionalism.
About you
You will be passionate about your work and take pride in making a positive difference to families and the team. You will be a great communicator with both adults and children, and you will be proactive in your approach to care and support. You will also have a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved with working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience, and kindness.
You must have:
- Recognised Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood qualification as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority or actively working towards
- Educator experience, working with children aged 0-5
- First aid certificate or willingness to undertake the training
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children's Check
- Hold a current Tasmanian Drivers Licence
