As part of our community services for families and children in the area, the council operates 3 Child Care Services in the Northern midlands, servicing Cressy, Perth and Avoca. About the role

Reporting to the Childcare Director, the successful applicants will provide support and care for children under the centre’s responsibility, in accordance with children’s individual development plans, centre policy and relevant legislation. The role will see you working with a passionate and dedicated team committed to delivering high quality programs and creating a positive environment to support children to thrive and grow.

About you

You will be passionate about your work and take pride in delivering high quality learning outcomes. You will be a great communicator with both adults and children, and you will be proactive in your approach to care and support. You will also have a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved with working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience, and kindness.

You must:

  • Hold a Diploma or Cert III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Essential).
  • Educator experience, working with children aged 0-5
  • First aid certificate or willingness to undertake the training
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children's Check.

Terms and conditions of employment, including salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant and in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement.
